What Will you Learn?
Our P.S.Y.C.H.E.D Up framework will share how elite athletes achieve success, and provide the tools to improve mental performance on and off the field
P – Performance: Here we show why mental performance is the most important aspect of playing soccer: What is mental performance? Why do players need it to perform?
S – Stats: One of best ways to track progression and stay accountable is by measuring performance. This lesson covers the need for playing stats as an athlete in creating a mindset for continuous improvement.(i.e. “how many shots, saves, tackles have I made”)
Y – YOU: Athletes need to bring their ‘best self’ to the field when they play. Mental performance and wellbeing is a big part of being the best, and this lesson provides the tools to help them with personal development.
C – CONFIDENCE: Some players rely on the opinions of others to gauge how they are doing. This lesson teaches the user how to think like an elite athlete and create internal confidence vs. seeking external approval.
H – HABITS: Habits are fundamental to achieving goals. From pre-match routine to post-match routine, this lesson provides the framework to create positive habits & structure, enabling higher performance levels.
E – EMOTIONS: Players can often find themselves in high pressure situations. In this lesson, we teach them how to take control and re-frame their mindset to ensure they feel calm and composed in all that they do.
D – DEVELOPING RELATIONSHIPS: Players will have to manage relationships with a variety of people throughout their career, some of which can be difficult. Here we share tools and techniques on how to develop the most important aspects of teamwork.
In addition to the core lessons of this course, we provide the player with a ‘kit bag’ of helpful resources to aid them in their sport psychology and mental wellbeing journey. Our guarantee? Upon completion of this course, players will have a critical understanding of the psychology behind what it takes to become an elite performer
